Lauren Conrad on MTV’s The Hills After Show

Oh Em Gee! Who watched episode 3 of The Hills last night? The one in which Heidi finally “puts her foot down” and stands up to Spencer (still a fairly weak assertion of authority, IMO) and Lauren goes on a date with Audrina and her dolt boyfriend, Justin Bobby (who is pretty much Antonio Banderas on more than one level - decent looks, ambiguous accent AND a lack of personality and brain cells) and much awkwardness ensues.

Best Quote:
It’s a tie between two Spencer-isms (let’s assume that pretty much everyone loved Elodie’s “oh em gee” exclamation at Heidi’s news):

After Heidi complains about Spencer’s purchase of a full size arcade game for their apartment, he proclaims: “I LOVE HAVING THIS POWER!”

AND

After Spencer comes home to find Heidi painting over his “Hollywood” mural: “I surprised you with a BEAUTIFUL mural. You surprise me with a white wall.” And he’s totally serious. It’s at that point of the episode that I start to think that Spencer could quite possibly be maniacal. He has this glint in his eyes that makes me question his stability - a feature that MTV’s The Hills After Show plays upon in their hysterical skit The Hills: Scary Movie. Basically it’s a black and white montage of the altercation between Heidi and Spencer…the long, deathly stares spliced with creepy smiles. Everyone on the show has such huge teeth. And we’ve already mentioned, no upper lip. It’s a terrifying combination.

Speaking of The Hills After Show - could I be more in love with Jessi & Dan (Answer: no)?! I love that Dan told Jessi he bought Speidi an engagement gift - he picked up a gravy boat for their new pad, coincidentally, at the same store that Spencer bought Heidi’s engagement ring. LOL.

And the greatest surprise of them all…Lauren and Audrina ON the actual show. That’s right - they were both in Toronto last night for an interview segment on the After Show! Was it just me, or was there a little awkwardness and tension between Audrina and Lauren? Why were they sitting apart? And hardly interacting?

I love Lauren’s bewildered reactions to Dan & Jessi’s questions. When Jessi asked Lauren about her thoughts about Justin Bobby, and whether it might have been as a result of an unspoken sexual tension between the two, Lauren’s facial reaction was a combination of pure horror and surprise.
