December 11th, 2007
Last night, the usual gaggle of girls came over to my place to indulge in the guiltiest pleasure of them all, THE HILLS! It had been a while since ALL of us had convened to watch our Monday Night special but because it was the FINALE we knew we had to watch it in style… Err, order Swiss Chalet… What better way to celebrate a season of superficial changes (i.e. LC‘s new bod/Heidi‘s new boobs & nose/Bunny‘s nose/Brody‘s new do) than by pigging out on the dirty bird? Ah yes, the mood was set.
So let’s get to the good stuff…

The Multigrain Bun (Red Carpet Special):
Snooze-fest. Not that I didn’t already know that the girls of The Hills lack any sort of wit or personality, but I was reminded once again when the girls struggled to answer any of Dan & Jessi’s questions. It was like watching a 5 year old trying to recite his two sentence monologue in a Christmas play. And to think that I sat through close to two hours of this?
There was a light at the end of a rather shallow tunnel when our favourite ‘character,’ Elodie, stepped out onto the red carpet looking far more fabulous than her former co-worker (and probably, nemesis) Heidi. Ah yes, she didn’t have much to say BUT what matters is the fact that…OK, I’ve got nothing…We just heart Elodie.
* Oh yeah, don’t you guys find it rather interesting that Heidi showed up alone? Hmmm…
The White Meat (The Show):
* Lisa shows Whitney the love by inviting her to go to Paris with our fave Teen Vogue contributor, Kimball Hastings – SANS Lauren.
* Lauren will forever be known as the girl who didn’t go to Paris. Whomp, whomp.
* PSYCH!!! Apparently Kimball was so ‘overwhelmed’ that he requested the help of another person…Oh no, this isn’t staged…Parisians, be forewarned: Lauren is ready to annoy you with her obnoxious French. Bisou, Bisou!
* Spence finally comes around and makes a half-assed attempt to see Heidi after HE walked out on her…TWO DAYS LATER…Thank god Heidi wasn’t her spineless self and decided to avoid the fiance from hell.
* Heidi packs her bags and heads home!! Finally, she comes to her senses!

The Baked Potato (The After Show):
* ARE LAUREN & BRODY TOGETHER?!?!!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?! Can someone please tell me why this question wasn’t answered? So disappointed.
* Oh and the big surprise of the night – THE THIRD SEASON IS NOT OVER! *yawn*
* Was anybody else annoyed by the two girls that stood behind Dan & Jessi trying to catch the camera’s attention? Is it possible for someone to feel so much hate for someone you don’t even know?
The Wet Napkin:
Overall, the whole night was as anti-climatic as the forgettable first season. Does everyone else agree?
Will Paris be as EXCITING as the finale? (Here’s the trailer) I sure as hell hope so because this last episode was tres drole.
