For a few years now, Chicago’s The Hood Internet have been colliding the worlds of hip-hop, R&B, pop and indie rock with the utmost success (a favourite of mine being Usher squaring off with Los Campesinos! for “The Year This Club Broke (My Heart)”). Now Aaron Brink and Steve Reidell have teamed up with niche clothing brand Mishka NYC for their latest mixtape, which consists of “14 tracks of remixes and original productions that we’ve created over the past couple of years.”
And click here to check out this behind the scenes video of how they made the cover art. You would never, ever guess what it’s made out of. Like, not in a million years. Hint: it cost them $461.23 to make it.
