Lionsgate Studios has announced that Mockingjay, the final book in The Hunger Games trilogy, will be released as two films. Following in the footsteps of hugely success book-to-film franchises like Twilight and Harry Potter, the final installment will be divided in two films to be released in 2014 and 2015.
This news comes on the heels of more casting additions for Catching Fire and Mockingjay, which will feature Philip Seymour Hoffman as Head Gamemaker Pluatarch Havensbee and Jenna Malone as Johanna Mason.
Catching Fire is set to be released on November 23, 2013, which Mockingjay Part 1 hitting theaters on November 21, 2014 and Part 2 on November 20, 2015.
