The Kiss Seen Around The World

Ok - so I hate to be the one re-hashing old news and content - but I need to get something off my chest. Yes, it’s about the much ballyhooed Nikki Blonsky/Zac Efron kiss that happened on MOD a few weeks back, while they were on the show to promote their new movie Hairspray.
As you can see, we threw the clip up on YouTube and man-oh-man is it ever going strong. People are eating this clip up - I mean, there have been 1,548 comments!!! On a daily basis, I have non-stop comment approval requests landing in my Inbox and I simply can’t keep up! What is it about this clip that is SOOO shocking/wonderful/sexy/disgusting?
I guess what gets me the most about the viewers’ comments is how MEAN the majority of them are. People are trashing Nikki Blonsky solely because she is a bit on the heavier side. Is everyone really that shallow nowadays? Have we made zero progress? I love Hairspray, but I did think its message of “accept people for what’s on the inside” was pretty watered-down and highly unoriginal. But after accepting and rejecting hundreds upon hundreds of comments that all deal with this subject, I’m beginning to think these “message movies” are definitely needed.
Simply, I am disheartened that the reaction to a little kiss from a modern day Matinee idol is questioning my hope in humanity. I mean, get some perspective! There are people all around the world who are DYING - let Zac Efron kiss whomever the eff he wants. And yes, quit being so damn shallow.
Phew. I feel better. And now back to your regularly scheduled programming…

I think I can honestly say that I agree with what you’ve said here. Nikki Blonsky - she is such an amazing person. Why can’t people look up to her? She’s a fantastic actor, singer, and dancer, but no, people look past that and criticize her. Let’s see THEM go from working at an Ice Cream Store to playing the lead in a hit film alongside John Travolta and Queen Latifah. I admire her, I really do.
Well, that’s my rant over, but seriously, thank you for posting this, and I hope you knock some sense into people.

What i find extremely hilarious is that all these losers writing these ridiculously rude/cruel comments probably have no lives because if they did they would not trash talk others. Let them post their face around the world, let them sing/dance/act in front of people and lets see how perfect THEY are and if they look perfect. My money is on them being ugly on the outside, i alreayd know they’re ugly on the inside!

Most of you guys are usually just judging Nikki cause of her weight, I mean I rather like Zanessa than Zikki, but like c’mon. You guys can’t control these actors to change there mind. If they like who there with then let them be happy - besides its not like they read this, too busy with there lives -.
