She’s A Fire (Wicked Version) by The Dark Romantics
We have loved this song for a couple of years. It has a sexy, dark vibe and we felt it works with the scene with Nick and the “choke me” gal. It has an interesting lyric that entices.
Red by Polaris at Noon
We weren’t sure how we were going to work this “intercut montage” with Alicia and Raquel. At first, we were going to play a dance song throughout, but once editor Mike Banas got the rhythm of the scene, we took this song and used it instead. We used mainly the instrumental part of the song and it helped support the drama of rejection with the two characters. It’s rhythmic and emotional and we like that there are no lyrics for most of the cue. It let Raquel’s world and Alicia’s audition speak for themselves.
