The Hours by Exitmusic (Connor’s bad dream)
A haunting, heartbreaking scene needs a touch of music or silence. This piece acts as score, of course, and supports the scene beautifully. This scene breaks us every time. The music is tastefully edited and mixed and lets the scene play naturally.
Tell Me What To Swallow by Crystal Castles (Background at the Lux)
An idea from director/co-producer Stefan Brogren, this band creates superb soundscape and this specific song has score quality written all over it. It’s a beautiful underscore to the two scenes it plays through, highlighting the conflict felt by Alicia, King and Tariq about the choices they’ve made that will impact their future. We thank the band for being open to using this song. It adds a palpable depth to the drama that unfolds.
Alone In The Big City by Buddy Stuart (Alicia waiting for her audition)
We wanted a contrast of life here. An old style/feel song in a modern atmosphere. Buddy Stuart is a country veteran and his sound worked so nicely through the Vivid lobby speakers. Lyrically, a home run!
