The line-up for Lollapalooza 2012 has been announced and we see that there is a healthy mix of big names, indie acts, and electro groups to satisfy even the most particular of tastes. Headlining the event at Chicago’s Grant Park are rock legends Red Hot Chili Peppers,The Black Keys, Black Sabbath, Jack White, and Florence + the Machine. It’s been six years since RHCP has played the fest and this will be the only North American festival appearance for Black Sabbath.
With over a hundred and thirty bands performing, it’ll be hard to choose favourites. We’re really excited to see a burst of electronic chillwave acts get some stage time like Toro y Moi, Washed Out, and Star Slinger. Lolla also has some great hip hop queued up with performances by Childish Gambino, J. Cole, and Frank Ocean. We also spy some New.Music.Live. favourites like Dev, Calvin Harris, and Avicci. You can also expect some Canadian representation on the list like The Weeknd, Metric, and Hey Rosetta!.
We have the official Lollapalooza line-up video below, which does a great job of making us feel like we want to be there. Like, right now. Are you going to go to Lollapalooza? Who are you most excited to see perform? Sound off in the comment section below.
