Denver based folk band The Lumineers have followed up their huge break out hit Hey Ho with another beautiful and gut-wrenching track. Stubborn Love may sound familiar, since it was the second track The Lumineers performed while on Saturday Night Live earlier this year, tipping fans off to what they had in mind for their second single from their self-titled debut album.
The video for Stubborn Love, which features a blink and you’ll miss it cameo by the band as a group of musician pan handlers, shows a couple separating as seen through the eyes of their little girl. In addition to her parent’s relationship, the little girl watches other couples at various stages, all from the comfort of her car seat.
The Lumineers are continuing their impressive run, starting with their appearance on SNL earlier this year, with a performance during this Sunday’s Grammy Awards. The Lumineers are joining a long list of big name performers, including Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Justin Timberlake, Sting and many more.
