The New Do Doesn’t Cut It For the Doll

It seems everybody’s talking about Justin Bieber’s brand new hairstyle, and not necessarily in a good way either. While we’re split over whether or not we like the Bieb’s short, cropped ‘do, at least one person is not happy with Justin’s changing hair.

The founder and CEO of Bridge Direct (the toy company that makes Justin Bieber dolls) says Bieber’s small change has cost his business more than $100,000! He says he manufactured thousands of dolls based on Justin’s original hair style and was hoping they would be huge hits come Christmas time. Now that Justin has changed his hair, the company says the dolls are out-dated and won’t sell as well.

The company says they just found out about Justin’s new hairstyle the other day, but there was nothing they could do at that point because the dolls were already being made. However, during the dolls’ second run, the company decided to change their hairstyle to reflect their real-life inspiration. The move will cost the business around $100,000.

The company hopes Bieber fans will still want to buy the dolls with the original hairstyle – hey, maybe they’ll even be collectors items now!
