The Organ Split Up

Ack! I hate this news:

“The Organ are breaking up. We want to thank our friends, fans, and family for all the support you gave to us. Thank you. Shelby, Jenny, Katie, Debora, and Shmoo.”

I learned this earlier today and I have to say I’m really disappointed! If you never had the chance to hear The Organ, run out and pick up a copy of their lone album, Grab That Gun, and revel in its beauty. It seems like only a few months ago that these classy ladies were featured in NME’s “Radar” section and poised to make it to the big time worldwide. I was really looking forward to hearing what they’d offer on a sophomore album.

Here’s hoping for solo projects?
