The Paul Telner Project Comes To Much!

December 29th, 2008

Hey guys! Paul Telner here! You may not know me but soon you’ll see me doing this.

I’m very excited about my television special, The Paul Telner Project premiering on MuchMusic on Monday, December 29 @ 8pm ET. It’s a hidden camera prank show that I can proudly say takes annoying everyday people to the next level of insanity! This is my debut on Canadian television and I’m thrilled for it to be on Much.

Most prank shows are not hosted by dorky guys like me. I’m the kid who used to get shoved into lockers in grade 9. When I mess around with people, we consider it revenge of the nerd! LOL!

I have had some close calls filming pranks and at the end of every shoot, I’m always happy to be alive. My parents have no comment. They wanted me to become a lawyer! Now I need one!

The show mixes the best of everything I do! From me showing up to various jobs as if I work there (hidden camera) to me playing a character named Dave: The Friendly Goth! I’m so happy to be able to bring Dave to television as people have only had a chance to see him on the tiny-www-screen.

People always ask me what my favourite skits are that I’ve done. It changes every week but today I would say I’ve been re-watching these two a lot:

Fibre Logs (watch)
Crew Screw: The Mile Highlighter Club (watch)

Thanks for reading,
- Paul :)

  5. i just want to say that Paul Telner is NOT funny. He is just the most retarded person in the world and that he is one of the reasons why TV absolutely sucks today. He’s just another person doing dumb stuff to get attention and to be on TV. If it’s that easy to get a show on Much then Much definitely needs to set their standards higher to compete with MTV.

  6. I loved the show! Great job Paul!

  14. I saw “The Paul Telner Project” on MuchMusic on Dec. 29, and it was quite funny (and ballsy, too). Some of those stunts had me laughing out loud (especially the workout and shopping cart segments). And how Paul managed to pull them off without getting arrested or pummelled, I don’t know, but that’s also part of the show’s appeal.

  15. Great show, very funny, looking forward to more episodes airing in the near future

I just want to tell you that Paul has guts to do the pranks that I could not do!! LOL. Is there a series of him??? If not can you please make it a series instead of just one show??? There needs to be more. I am looking forward to seeing more of him

  20. Paul Telner you had my heart at Dave the Friendly Goth and you only strengthened that hold with such gems as YouTube Your Enthusiasm. Your wit is biting and I think you are hilarious!

  21. The average stand up comedian limiting themself to social commentary. Paul Telner, on the other hand is gutsy enough to prove to us live, that humor lives in those dangerously unchartered areas where manners, etiquette and social graces are utterly violated.

  22. Byron is SOOOOOO weird!

  23. this show was amazing!! props to muchmusic for picking up a show like this

  24. I’m so glad that much took on Paul’s show. It is definetly something they were missing from the channel. Its refreshing to see something new and creative as opposed to all those horrible reality shows that are just pathetic and lame.

Paul brings us a different side of humour - gutsy and shit disturbing (I LOVE IT!!!)

I hope Much continues to air this show and i look forward to seeing more pranks to come.

You are a god Paul Telner.
