It’s snowing right now in Toronto and it took me twice as long to get to work and I arrived with sopping wet socks and my happiness level decreased by about 50%. But you know what’s great about it all? I can look forward to the weekend where I can either stay home all day and watch Netflix or go tobogganing on some freshly fallen snow. Snow: it’s a love/hate relationship, a roller-coaster of highs and lows, it’s up and it’s…okay, you probably get by now so I’ll get to the point. Here’s our list of pros and cons of snowstorms.
PRO: You can stay home from work, sit on the couch all day and not feel guilty about it.
CON: When you have to go to work and you’re stuck on a crowded subway.
PRO: When you put on all of your winter gear and go outside and make Snow Angels.
CON: When it’s freezing cold outside and you have to put on so many layers that you can’t even move.
PRO: You can take a long hot shower to stay warm.
CON: When you leave the house with wet hair and this happens:
CON: When it’s so cold your eyes tear up.
CON: When it’s so cold even your snot freezes.
PRO: Skating while it’s snowing is magical.
CON: Slipping on the ice is not magical.
PRO: You can always stay home and drink hot chocolate.
CON: Unless this happens:
PRO: Snow is pretty.
