The Sea and Cake – “On and On” (stream)

Compared to the first single from Runner, “Harps”, “On and On” is hard rock. Chicago’s The Sea and Cake is known for their ethereal, synth textures. “On and On” starts off guitar-heavy with a quick chug reminiscent of the early 90s alternative scene. Think Smashing Pumpkins’ Siamese Dream. If you like these two tracks, September 18th is the release date for the record and on October 18th they’ll be at Lee’s Palace.
