The votes are in and it’s official: the sexiest shoe of the year is this lacy Valentino peep-toe pump!

More than 35,000 ballots were cast as part of the “Sexy Shoes” contest sponsored by department store Saks Fifth Avenue and Footwear News. Voters chose the Valentino heel for being sexy and feminine without being over the top. The four-inch heel adds height (to make your legs look long and slim) while the embroidered design features Valentino’s iconic lace detailing over the leather shoe. The price-tag: $695.

Runner up for sexiest shoe of the year was a pair of Jimmy Choo’s. Their Swarovski crystal-encrusted sandals with double ankle straps are definitely an attention-grabber, perfect for nights out on the town or a hot date! But while the Valentino pumps were pricey, these Jimmy Choo’s are even pricier: they retail for $2,095!

In third place: Prada’s knee-high leather boots with covered platform. According to voters, these boots are practical AND sexy! But you’ll have to break out the wallet: they go for more than $1200 a pair!
