After a lot of positive thinking and anxious waiting, I got the email saying that I, Bianca Marcus, would be on - THE SHIFT! Screaming, calling friends, more screaming!

I was going to walk the halls where Erica Ehm and George Stroumboulopoulos once walked - not too much pressure there!

Sarah and I decided to go to the Toronto Humane Society. The THS has a really progressive volunteer program, and involves the community in several ways…even if you can’t adopt a pet, you can go down and give those animals some lovin’! Come on, you know you have lots! While there, Sarah and I groomed some very friendly cats, found out what it meant to be “bunny cuddlers,” and got into some deep doodoo with the dogs!

What you see of Sarah on camera is exactly what you get one-on-one - she’s funny, easygoing and sooo good at her job! Sarah, you’re the real deal!

A big thank you to Sharon Kavanaugh, who guided me step by step during my time at Much! Props to Adam, our cameraman; much love from Abigail! (He forgot my name all day, but no biggie…I once forgot a guy’s name for a whole year!)

Gettin’ real…to be a part of Much, even for one show, was no small deal for me. If you are enjoying the music of Canadian artists in Canada today, it is because of Much. I’m so happy to have been a part of it.

Big ups to mom and dad, Michael, Ian Agard, Kiran, Jack, Nathan, Jordan, my TV Western co-hosts Shobhita and Surane, and Tracey at Salon Entrenous. Last and certainly not least, my media prof Doug Mann for being cool about me missing class to do The Shift!
