Tomorrow’s episode of The Shift features Stephanie. She got to spend the day rock climbing with her favourite Much VJ Tim Deegan. Watch Stephanie co-host The Shift Tomorrow @ 9pm ET.
Hi Everyone!
I must start off by saying that most people would agree that while watching MuchMusic they have said to themselves, “Being a MuchMusic VJ must be the coolest job ever!” – Well, at least I know I certainly have.
As a child I remember watching television shows like Barney and would wonder how those children got to be on the show, while thinking to myself ‘How could I get to do that?’ Watching the VJs on MuchMusic makes me ask myself the same questions. How could I get to be a Much Music VJ?! The Shift was exactly what I’ve always been looking for! After several tries and many technical issues later, my video was up (thanks Dad) and all that was left for me to do was to wait. After a long month of checking my email almost every hour of each day, and watching others try their hand at The Shift, it was finally my turn!
Spending the day with Tim was awesome! He is such a funny, down-to-earth and easy going person with a great taste in music. Thanks for expanding my music interests by introducing me to new bands. I had never been rock-climbing before and we definitely had a blast! Although things got a little competitive, he was definitely going easy on me on the first few walls because he later kicked my butt on the difficult ones! But I’ll bet that if he had fallen off the wall twice, he wouldn’t have done it as gracefully as I did!
I need to give a HUGE thank you to MuchMusic for this opportunity. This was definitely an amazing experience and chance to fulfill a goal I’ve always dreamed of – if only for a day. I got to see what the view was like from the other side of the TV screen, and this was definitely a great learning experience for me! Thank you so much Sharon Kavanaugh for giving me this opportunity, for your kindness, energy, patience and most of all for not forcing me to go on Behemoth at Canada’s Wonderland! I’ve learned it is more difficult than I thought to be yourself on camera, so thank you for your guidance and most of all for having me on the show. I’ve also learned to follow my heart because it leads me to great things. Thank you again, and I hope everyone enjoys My Shift!
Love Stephanie
