Rolling Stone once claimed that The Strokes’ fourth debut album Angles was “worth the wait” and yet fans of the 5 piece rock group may not have to wait quite as long for their next offering.
Bass guitarist, Nikolai Fraiture told NME.com that yes, the rumours are true about them being back in the studio although unfortunately only for “a little bit”.
The American group will have to be on the top of their game in order to bring their musicianship to a whole new stratosphere, as Angles was regarded as critical smash.
Claire Suddath of TIME called it “a ten song exercise in rock precision”.
Fraiture further told NME that “the band will record their fifth album in the same manner as they put together ‘Angles’ with each member bringing in their own ideas and putting them together in the studio.”
The Strokes will headline the Reading and Leeds Festivals in the UK in August.
