The Trend Factor

April 8th, 2004

Hey Jenn, heard you had a great time at the Juno?s in Edmonton this past weekend. Funny you should ask about the comparisons between Montreal and Toronto? Since we can?t all be traveling and partying it up with rockstars, I have been in Toronto with far too much time on my hands. Thus, I have begun a scientific experiment to occupy my down time. I began my experiment by visiting various locations(Bars, stores, hospitals, banks, “trendy areas”, parks, waterfronts, sanitation depots, and a clinic that specializes in the rehabilitation of chronic urinary tract infection patients) in both Toronto and Montreal. Then, after returning from my field work, I ran preliminary tests to ensure the data collected was in fact accurate. Once all the preliminary tests had been completed, I converted my data into mathematical form, using the equation :

F (P(x)/Q(x) = F (R(x)/Q(x)

Where Toronto is (P)

Where Montreal is (R)

Once that had been completed, I was able to compare the two cities from a purely mathematical perspective and not my own biased view.

The Result: Montreal turns out to be an average of 15.987% better than Toronto.

However, with me now living in the city of Toronto, the average “coolness” of the city has risen about 23.989%, tipping the scales in favor of the fair city of Toronto.

CONCLUSION: Based on my findings I have concluded that any Canadian town with Devon in the City limits is officially the coolest place in Canada!!!!

Hope that answers your question,

Devon
