With another week of blind auditions, 12 lucky hopefuls passed the test, and episode three of The Voice featured some notable highlights to further build the coaches’ rosters.
A few of the better acts began with 19-year-old Pip. The young adult rocked a bow tie and suspenders. After belting through House of the Rising Sun, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera and Cee-Lo Green all spun around to admire the singer’s talent, and Pip ended up going with Levine. Following that, Erin Willet went on stage for her performance, despite a stressful family situation lingering in her life, with her father’s recent diagnosis with stage four cancer. However, the 22-year-old impressedShelton enough to choose her. ”You have a very powerful voice,” he told her.

Some didn’t have enough luck though. Blue-haired bowling alley waitress Winter Rae came to the show with Perez Hilton, who happened to be a good friend of hers. Even though she looked the “Hollywoodrocker” part, her voice didn’t quite cut it. ”You’re still a star,” said Hilton, awkwardly afterward in a family group huddle.
An amusing highlight included Katrina Parker, who got a personal invite at work to audition by host Carson Daly. She originally moved to Hollywoodfrom North Carolinato pursue her creative dreams, however she’s been stuck at a dead-end office job. So it was obviously refreshing to see her get out of that environment and catch the attention of Levine with her version of One of Us.
Aguilera then found a match with father-of-three Geoff Mcbride. The singer wore special sunglasses, due to an old kickboxing incident, but ripped through a soulful version of Higher Ground. In addition, former model Erin Martin, displayed her unique voice in Hey There Delilah to grab the immediate attention of Green, who called her “a wonderful creature of a woman.”
To finish off the show strong, the exotic Jordis Unga went on stage to put on one of the best performances of the night with her passionate version of Maybe I’m Amazed.Shelton, Aguilera and Green spun their chairs around, but the singer went with Shelton, who said it was the voice he had been waiting to hear.
With that, the roster numbers so far for the season are:
