A previously unreleased documentary of The Smiths from 1992 has surfaced. The doc was presumed lost until it was discovered recently and was initially intended to be a part of the bands Best Of compilation that was given to press. You can watch part of the doc at NME. (Via NME)
London’s The Loading Bay Gallery on Brick Lane is set to showcase a special exhibition in celebration of the 20th Anniversary of Nirvana’s ground breaking album Nevermind. The exhibit will contain photos, videos, memorabilia and artifacts from both the band and fans. Nevermind will be re-released in September in a Super Deluxe Edition, which will include a four CD set of remixes and rare Nirvana tracks, as well as a DVD. (Via NME)
After complaints from fans about allegations Kiss front man Gene Simmons has made in the past accusing Michael Jackson of molesting children, the band has been removed from the Michael Jackson Tribute Concert. Last year Simmons was quoted in an interview with Classic Rock Magazine saying “Well, you know, where there’s smoke, there’s fire. There’s no question in my mind he molested those kids. Not a doubt.” (Via Rolling Stone)
Björk has released the official album cover for her upcoming release Biophilia. The artwork, which the singer tweeted this morning, shows a floating, red headed Björk clad in what looks like a futuristic geisha costume. The album will be available September 27. (Via Exclaim!)
