Much-hyped singer-songwriter EMA has announced another leg of touring for the fall. The artist also known as Erika M. Anderson will team up with Wild Beasts, Washed Out, CSS and MEN for some of the shows. Seeing as she played Montreal and Toronto this month, the only Canadian stop will be with Wild Beasts in Vancouver at the Biltmore Cabaret. (Via Under the Radar)
Hard to believe Anton Newcombe has never released one, but on August 30th, the Brian Jonestown Massacre will put out the band’s first ever singles collection in their 21-year history. The double album will include 14 remastered tracks that have been previously available only on 7″ singles as well as two tracks recorded in 1993 from the band’s alter ego, Acid. (Via Impose)
To coincide with the release of their new video, Vivian Girls have also announced that they’ll be heading out on a headlining tour this fall. The lone Canadian date is at Parts and Labour in Toronto on September 16th. (Via This Is Fake DIY)
The xx producer and Gil-Scott Heron collaborator Jamie xx has unveiled his next project. The London native will be collaborating with “sound visualization artist” Quayola for Structures, a four-hour performance that converts sound into images and manipulates them in real time. The project will premiere in London on August 11. (Via FACT)
Asobi Seksu have announced a headlining North American tour this fall. Boris and White Birds are the support and there are two Canadian dates: Montreal’s Pop Montreal fest on September 21st and Toronto’s Lee’s Palace on October 23rd. (Via This Is Fake DIY)
