Although no tour dates have been announced yet, Radiohead’s frontman Thom Yorke confirmed that the band will be touring “on and off” in 2012. They made the decision after their set at Glastonbury Music Festival because they “figured out how to play [The King of Limbs] and do it in front of people.” Portishead’s Clive Dreamer will most likely join Radiohead on the road as a second drummer. In other news, Yorke also revealed that his band Atoms For Peace have been in the studio working on a new album. The supergroup is made up of Yorke, Flea, Mauro Refosco, and Joey Waronker. Over the year, Guided By Voices have been recording a new album entitled, Let’s Go Eat The Factory and it’s set to be released on January 1, 2012. This isn’t a surprise since GBV reunited in June 2010 and have been touring ever since. The best thing about GBV’s comeback is that the band is made up of its original lineup, including Bob Pollard, Mitch Mitchell, Tobin Sprout, Kevin Fennell, and Greg Demos. The members haven’t been together since 1996, so this album has a lot of potential. (Via Rolling Stone)
