This past weekend, The Wedge ventured to Montreal for what the people of Quebec like to call, the Osheaga Festival of Music and Art. Featuring close to 100 acts, the three-day festival offered plenty of memorable moments backstage, some of which we caught on tape. One of the acts playing the fest was Fucked Up, whose singer just so happens to be Damian Abraham, host of The Wedge. Knowing this, we set off to follow Damian around the Osheaga grounds to meet up with some of the performers.
On this week’s episode of The Wedge, we follow Damian around back stage before his set and interview The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart, Shad, and City & Colour’s Dallas Green, who were each given a video request. Plus we have the one and only guy who handles The Flaming Lips’ balloons, who we’ve endearingly named “Balloon Guy.”
On top of that we have new videos by Twin Sister, John Maus, Timber Timbre, Telekinesis and video-of-the-year candidate, Toro y Moi’s “How I Know.”
This is all a taste of what’s to come on September 7th, when we present our official hour-long special of The Wedge at Osheaga 2011. Save the date.
The Wedge airs every Wednesday night at 10:00 P.M. EST only on MuchMusic.
