The Wedge interviews Tennis about the nautical side to their music

Patrick Riley and Alaina Moore are a married couple from Denver, Colorado who formed the band Tennis together. What originally began as a way of documenting their seven-month sailing experience across the Eastern seaboard turned into a full-on career in music. After cutting a demo, their friends began posting songs on blogs, resulting in an unexpected and unprepared frenzy of media attention. Soon they had a record deal with the white hot Fat Possum label (Wavves, Yuck, The Walkmen) and released their debut album, Cape Dory, in January.

The Wedge caught up with Patrick and Alaina to discuss their life-altering time on a sailboat, what they learned from it, and why they chose to pursue music.
