Morrissey has reportedly asked for security to search fans attending his concert in case they’re carrying meat products. The singer known for his “Meat Is Murder” campaigning, was once hit by flying sausages during a gig in the past and took the precautions so the incident could not be repeated. (Via The Mirror)

Toro y Moi is set to release an EP of brand new material. Freaking Out will be released by Carpark on September 13th and feature songs that were recorded a month ago “during a period of touring quiescence.” The first song, “Saturday Love” is now available to download for free. (Via Pitchfork)

This is according to the band’s singer/songwriter/guitarist Blake Sennett, who felt “there was a lot of deception, disloyalty, greed and things I don’t really want to submit myself to.” But admits there is a plan to release a two-disc set of 40 unreleased songs some time in the future.
