He was once a prolific genius, but it’s been four years since Swedish heartbreaker Jens Lekman released his classic LP, Night Falls Over Kortedala. On September 20th, the wait will finally be over when he releases a brand new EP called An Argument With Myself. In an interview with the Walla Walla Washington Union Bulletin, he spilled all of the details, like that he moved to Australia and began DJing. (Via Secretly Canadian)
Speaking of waiting for new material, it’s been two years since English post-punk pin-ups Bloc Party have released anything. However, according to frontman Kele Okereke, who released his solo album last year, we could hear new music from the band very soon. He told NME, “There are some plans for new stuff. I’m not sure what I can say… I’d be surprised if there wasn’t some new stuff before the end of the summer.” (Via NME)
We may never hear anything new from Suede, unfortunately. Singer Brett Anderson says that the only way we’ll hear new material from the reunited band is if the magic is there. If not “then no one will hear it, that’s the truth.” (Via NME)
