Lately, a lot of bands have been playing hard to get and teasing us with their new albums and The Big Pink is one of them. They released a short teaser trailer on their website, which ends with the time and date of 19:30 13th September 2011. This could mean many things but I guess we’ll have to wait until Tuesday to find out. (Via Under The Radar)
Despite not having released anything since 2005, Garbage are back with a new album that will be released in 2012. They’ve been working on the 24-track album since 2010 and will be dropping their first single soon. Lead singer Shirley Manson seems pretty confident about it: “When I say we are making the best collection of songs of our career I think I am being honest.” (Via NME)
This weekend the Bestival festival is going down in England and NME had a chat with Friendly Fires about their upcoming work. The band is planning a limited-edition seven-inch with London-based DJ, SBTRKT. The two bands have been touring together and are planning to begin writing and recording after Bestival. (Via NME)
Skream and Benga are two of the most prominent dubstep producers and DJs and they’re only 25! They’re setting out on a short tour in October and visiting some Canadian cities, including Toronto, Calgary, and Edmonton. (Via Exclaim)
