Justin Bieber’s had quite the week, dealing with a thief who claims to have stolen the pop star’s laptop and camera from his tour manager’s office while he was performing in Washington…or so we think.
An anonymous Twitter account under the handle @gexwy was created this week and has been tweeting up a storm, claiming he or she has Bieber’s stolen goods and even posting private videos and photos to prove it. This mysterious culprit has been tweeting at fans and even Bieber himself, threatening to release more. It is believed that the two have been exchanging private messages to one another, but apparently haven’t settled on an agreement of any sort to stop this person from leaking more private files. In a slew of public Tweets, this person is telling followers that he/she will be releasing something today at noon.
The singer – who has taken this case very seriously and follows the account on Twitter – responded to the person, telling him/her: “@gexwy no matter what you have and what you post tomorrow i know my fans wont leave me. screw it. #toostrong”
Now, many have guessed (prayed?) for a sex tape or something juicier to be leaked, but people are slowly getting suspicious of this scandal and think that this might be a huge PR stunt to surprise fans with a new music video for his new single Beauty and the Beat featuring Nicki Minaj. Both stars have been caught tweeting about some “big surprise” coming soon. Around that time, a screencap of the video showed up on VEVO and even Perez Hilton dropped a hint, posting “exclusive scandalous footage” from Bieber’s stolen gear that reveals a set similar to the screepcap from the video.
Something tells me that we’ve been punk’d by Bieber…
Also, in Justin Bieber news, News Channel 5 recently launched an investigation into the ticket sales of Justin Bieber’s upcoming tour. They believe that the artist and his management has deliberately held back a number of tickets from going on sale to the public so they can sell them later on, on online scalping sites. Fans in Nashville were told, before tickets even went on sale, that there weren’t many tickets left. It’s reported that just over a thousand tickets actually went on sale, with a big chunk going to American Express card holders in the presale and fan club members snagging another bunch of exclusive tickets. But that still left a significant amount of missing tickets. Fourteen were later found on TicketsNow, a resale site with large markups, in row G for $246 each; tickets that were never listed to the general public at the time of the sale. Bieber’s publicist has not yet commented on this.
