There’s something about The xx’s seductive slow jams that just goes hand in hand with slow motion imagery. The band’s new video for Chained combines the two into a beautifully-shot clip where all three members dive into the sea for a swim – in slow motion, of course.
The song itself, a track off of the band’s second album Coexist, is one of the album’s highlights. Its rhythm and bass line are intricately woven to support singers Romy Croft and Jamie xx’s hypnotizing harmonies and together create something that’s undeniably catchy.
