A few quick news hits…

• Whitby, ON progressive punk heroes Protest The Hero are ensconced in Toronto’s Metalworks Studio now, recording the follow-up to the critically-acclaimed Kezia – and they’re documenting the process on video that you can watch here.
• Rise Against are touring Canada (11 dates!) soon, and they’ve issued a 5-song Canadian exclusive EP which we’re kindly streaming in its entirety before it hits stores. Of special note: the band covers seminal punks Black Flag on a few tracks. Listen here.
• The new full-length from Burlington, Ontario’s Silverstein entitled Arrivals & Departures is hitting stores next week, and again, we’ve got a First Spin full album stream for you to sample before you buy.
• Thrice have parted ways with Island Records, but according to a post on the band’s studio blog, the split shouldn’t affect their upcoming 4-disc concept album…stay tuned for an announcement about their new home.
• Veteran punkers Bad Religion are putting out a new record on July 10 called New Maps Of Hell – we’ll have a First Spin next week so check back soon!
