Not to be confused with Vancouver’s alt-country/jangle rock band of the same name (albeit without the ‘e’), Ladyhawke is the alter ego of 27-year-old Pip Brown of Wellington, New Zealand. She’s already got one single (Paris Is Burning) under her belt, but the newest one, Dusk Till Dawn (out this week!) is one that I think will really catch on. It’s quick, catchy and groovy as shit. Before you know it (2:42), the song’s over and you’re clicking play again.

There are a few official remixes from the Dusk Till Dawn EP kicking around as well:

- Dusk Till Dawn (Canyons Remix)
- Dusk Till Dawn (Linus Loves Remix)
- Dusk Till Dawn (Simon & Shaker Remix)

The last two are my favourites, but the original stands up well enough on its own!

Ladyhawke’s self-titled debut album will be out September 30 in North America.
