Yes yes yes, we don’t shut up about Drake. We’re very excited for his new album, Nothing Was the Same, OKAY?
Now that we’ve got that cleared up, the only way to gear up for the new album is to look back on a classic Drake tune. Let’s remember that the Toronto rapper started from the bottom and if that means the beginning of it all, then I guess this track is technically the bottom:
Best I Ever Had was Drake’s first official single and we still love it. And the video? Best. In the video, the rapper coaches an all-girls basketball team, which was a nifty way to segway from his Degrassi days into his rap career. He’s in a school because, like, remember when he was Wheelchair Jimmy? Remember that? That was great, right? And the acting in the video, between verses, is funny, charming and classic Drizzy.
We just have one question: Drake, can you tell us that we’re the best? We are the best, right?
