Hey everybody, how are you doing? It has been a while since I have written one of these and I’m going to try and do them more often, hopefully once a week at least. So things have been amazing here at Much! Ya I’m still learning and growing and hopefully getting better from week to week. But I love it! Thank you to everyone that has been watching the show and for those who keep coming down to Much for MOD. It’s amazing to see you all down here supporting and hopefully having fun. So far I’ve been just making small appearances on MOD and on Wednesday I got to co-host the entire show, then on Friday as well, there were a few rough patches but it overall went really well. I had a lot of fun doing it and I hope you had a lot of fun watching.
For everyone who went to the concert at Dundas Square, did you have fun? I liked it, Fall Out Boy put on a great show. It’s hard to have good sound at an outdoor concert, especially when it’s just a tent in an empty space surrounded by tall buildings. And then over to Much for the interviews and performance by the All American Rejects. They only played one acoustic song but it was really well done. And they are great guys, I got to talk with them in the green room after the show.
I’ve also been getting lots of demos and MySpace addresses for bands that want me to check out your stuff. Also check out high4records.com. But thanks, I love doing that and I will try to help out as much as I can or just give feedback on what I think or what could be better. I don’t want to sound mean, I’m just trying to help you all out! People picked me apart for 2 months in front of the whole country and because they did I made it here. Just keep on trying and don’t give up. That goes for everyone, if you’re in a band or not. Never stop dreaming and never let anyone tell you that you’re not good enough, not cool enough, or not smart enough. I made some realistic goals, but I also never stopped dreaming. Be yourself and be proud to be it!
To answer a few comments left on my last blog – fave bands – way too hard to list them all! Sooo many, but I will say that basically every band on Tooth And Nail records, and Drive Thru Records. Check it out – toothandnail.com and drivethrurecords.com, just look up bands and take a listen, there’s a wide variety of sounds.
What shows would I like to host? MOD is awesome; the other shows I would like to host don’t have hosts anymore, like Loud or The Wedge. So I would love to just go to concerts and cover that sorta stuff, like go to a concert a week and interview, film performances and all the rest of the fun stuff I can find.
And what did I most look forward to before I was part of Much? It was the MMVAs and that’s probably what I look forward to now that I am a part of Much as well. And to set one thing straight – I didn’t take any of those quizzes from the last blog, so someone probably answered them and put down my name. Sorry guys, there is nothing I can do about that, and when I’m at work I don’t have time to do those either! But thanks again for watching and all the support, I’ll try to fumble less, and try to look less stiff on air, but I gotta get back to work! Talk to you later!!!
