Miley, Charlie and more!

Without Uncle Phil, there would be no Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. James Avery, the man behind the “Big Guy”, passed away at the age of sixty-eight in California. James Avery portrayed our favourite uncle on the show for six whole seasons and gave every home a judge, comedian, mentor, and friend rolled into one.
To pay tribute to the great man who often got our bellies aching, let’s look back at the best moments of Uncle Phil whose own belly was often the best part of Will and Phil’s relationship on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
When Phil par-tayed!
When Phil danced on the golf course!
When Phil wanted to be elected!
When Phil was introduced to Jazz!
When Phil and Aunt Viv danced on Soul Train
But the best and most memorable performance by James Avery had to be this scene below. Thank you James, for being the best uncle ever.Tweet
