Phoenix became my new faves after seeing them perform at VFest ’06

Back in May when I missed the Winehouse concert cause of vacation, everyone consoled me with the fact that she’d be playing V-Fest. “You’re right,” I said. In fact, they were all WRONG because as we know, Wino is in the throes of crazy-dom and drugville, and I won’t get to see one of my most anticipated performances of ’07.

But you know, it’s ok. You know why? Because M.I.A is COMING BACK WITH POWA, POWA, beches! [Note: she's not actually coming "back" to VFest, I'm just quoting my fave song on her new album!] I am so stoked to see this girl live. AND I heart seeing Metric. AND I just saw Stars perform “Your Ex-Lover Is Dead” and if it can bring me to near sobs again, I’m SO THERE. Arctic Monkeys? Yes please. Enter Shikari? They’re all the rage! This weekend is gonna be ROWDY! Oh, and it was just announced that Kid Koala will be filling the missing Amy Winehouse spot – kind of anti-climactic after the Yeah Yeah Yeahs rumours that were floating around!

So, don’t forget we’ve got you completely covered, like snowsuit stylies, from head to toe. Live streams on AXS, tons of up to date blog action, backstage interviews AND the hugest pile of photos that ever piled. I’ll be in the pit with my camera labeled “camera”, so if you’re there and you see me, holla at cho girl. Are you ready for this jelly? Fack, I sure am.
