Jodi here – MuchMusic’s producer extraordinaire! Over the past few months I’ve been following your lead… yes, I’ve dug up the dirt and now I’m dishing it out in a one-hour special all about the teen stars you love to tweet, blog and facebook about.

Without a doubt, 2009 was the year of the triple teen sensation… so I scouted out the best of the best and narrowed it down to 6 very popular teen stars and their most talked about ‘09 moments – from Miley Cyrus’ infamous pole dancing at this year’s Teen Choice Awards, Joe Jonas’ rumoured romance with Demi Lovato to Taylor Swift’s awkward MTV VMA moment – just to name a few. These are the top teens ruling the pop culture world… that’s why MuchMusic is declaring 2009 – “The Year of… Teen Power”.

Up first we got Miss Taytay Swift! This sweet as honey country girl has been rocking this year like no other. From dealing with a break-up to dealing with Kanye’s crazyness TayTay has overcome it all! And then to host Saturday Night Live and write a song about it? You win Taylor Swift! She also has nice hair and is dating a werewolf.

Good things come in small packages. Justin Bieber first took over YouTube and is now taking over THE WORLD! When both JT and Usher are fighting over you, you know that you’re not just any teen. You’re a teen with mobs of fans. High fives J Beebz! You did it!

Demi Lovato! Did you know that “demi” means half in French? You should change your name to Plein Lovato cus that means full! No? Okay fair enough. I guess you did star in Camp Rock. And you’re friends with those JoBros. Oh and you had some sick tunes because you’re a singer in real life too. Good job Demi. Or as they say in French Bon Travail!
