It’s Earth Day today! Have you been green’in it up? Let’s look at the Top Ten celebs who do their part to be eco-friendly!

Rachel McAdams: McAdams has teamed up with two friends to run the eco-inspired website GreenIsSexy.org. The well developed site offers tips on how to be green in the workplace, when entertaining, in the garden, on the road and how eco-friendly practices that will save you some green (money!). Aw, McAdams, could you be any cooler?

Leonardo DiCaprio: My boyfriend DiCaprio was one of the first celebrities to drive a hybrid car, have solar panels installed on his house and he has even made his NY apartment completely green. DiCaprio is also one of the few A-List celebs that flies commercial instead of private planes to reduce his carbon footprint. That also means that us common folk are more likely to sit next to him on an airplane. Woot! In 2007 the actor wrote, produced and starred in The 11th Hour, an eco-documentary.

Emma Watson: The Harry Potter actress has teamed up with People Tree to create a fashion line of 100% organic, Fair Trade clothing for teens. Says Watson, “I think young people like me are becoming increasingly aware of the humanitarian issues surrounding fast fashion and want to make good choices but there aren’t many options out there.”

Alicia Silverstone: Alicia Silverstone is, like, totally not clueless when it comes to living green. The actress has become known for being an animal rights and environmental activist. She has posed naked for PETA and been named Sexiest Vegetarian of the Year by the organization. Silverstone has also created a line of eco-friendly make up and written a vegan cook book called The Kind Diet.

Brad Pitt: After the devastation of Hurricane Katrina had set in, Pitt got to work with his Make It Right Foundation, rebuilding 150 houses using green materials and technology. He’s met with President Obama to discuss green housing projects that would be federally funded. He’s even recycled his good looks into offspring. Amazing!

Cameron Diaz: In 2005, Diaz and MTV produced a series called Trippin that followed Cameron and her friends as they traveled around the world speaking to people about endangered species. The actress starred in the 2009 film Cameron Diaz Saves the World in which she encouraged people to give back to the environment. Diaz is also the co-author of the The Green Book: The Everyday Guide to Saving the Planet One Simple Step at a Time.

Natalie Portman: She acts, she raps, she went to Harvard and she’s an environmental activist. In 2007, Portman designed a line of vegan shoes and traveled to Rwanda to help film a documentary about endangered gorillas. The real Natalie Portman is even cooler than Queen Amidala.

Hayden Panettiere: Hayden has brought media attention to animal rights by protesting whale and dolphin hunting. In the Oscar winning documentary The Cove you can even catch a quick glimpse of Hayden on the anti-whaling ship Sea Shephard. Save the cheerleader? Save the whales!

Adrien Grenier: The Entourage actor goes green by equipping his house with solar panels, sustainable products and insulaton made from old denim jeans. Now that is eco chic. Adrien is also the host of Planet Green’s Alter Ego show that teaches people how to go green.

Woody Harrelson: Woody is the mack daddy of environmentalism. He is a die-hard vegan, even refusing to eat Twinkies on screen for Zombieland. For the past ten years Woody has run an eco-friendly website called Voice Yourself. He even received an honoury degree from York University for all his hard work in saving the planet. Impressive!
