Travis Barker’s tonsils take out tour dates for Blink-182
May 10th, 2012
Blink-182 has just announced that they had to pull some dates off the North American leg of their tour as their drummer, Travis Barker had to undergo an urgent tonsillectomy and the recovery time would have conflicted with scheduled performances. In a very responsible manner, the band issued a statement saying, “The band apologizes for any inconvenience as a result of these cancellations and thanks their fans for their ongoing support.”
The following tour dates were cancelled and will not be rescheduled:
May 15 at Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, NY
May 17 at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, NH
May 18 at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT
May 19 at The Bamboozle in Asbury Park, NJ (There are no refunds being offered for The Bamboozle)
May 20 at Sands Bethlehem Event Center in Bethlehem, PA
May 22 at Colisee Pepsi Arena in Quebec City, Canada.
Fresh off of last year’s release of Neighborhoods, Blink-182 is currently working on a follow-up. Mark Hoppus has been working on the album through touring while Tom DeLonge has been keeping busy with his other band, Angels and Airwaves. Were you going to see Blink-182 in Quebec or any of the other locations? Let us know in the comments section below. And don’t worry, although Travis’ tonsils are small, their hit All The Small Things was huge. Watch the video for it here.
