Happy Halloween! What is everybody dressing up as this year? I went to a friend’s Halloween-slash-birthday party over the weekend and dressed up as a hoarder. No, seriously. People thought I was a homeless person and I had to explain that it was just my costume (think pizza boxes, empty chip bags, stuffed animals and newspaper all tied together). Hopefully you guys will have better luck with your costumes! Perhaps you even got some ideas from this weekend’s episode of #trending! We had SO much fun putting it together and seeing everyone’s crazy makeup and costume ideas! We picked some of our favourites to air and also put a lot of your Halloween tweets on the show. Did you see them? What did you think?

We also aired our interview with Nina Dobrev, from The Vampire Diaries. She looked STUNNING in a gorgeous dress and flawless makeup but at the end of the day, she says she’s just a regular girl who prefers skinny jeans and a tank top! Her personal style, it seems, is just like her: easy-going and laidback without being over the top!

I was really excited to meet Nina because I’m a huge Vampire Diaries fan, so of course I had to get some scoop on the upcoming episodes from her. Nina says last season’s twists and turns even had her surprised and she promises more of the same on the show this year. She also says the love triangles will return… hmm… wonder who that is referring to? Of course, being MuchMusic’s fashion show, we also had to ask Nina about her number one fashion tip. I thought she would say something about “being yourself” or “dressing for your body,” but she had a much more practical tip in mind: “Always carry a pair of flats with you!” she said. Because after a night of walking and posing in high heels, you’ll be glad to have a flat pair of shoes to change into! Great advice right?
