Trouble on the set of American Idol already?

Now that the judges panel at American Idol have been finalized – with new judges Mariah Carey, Keith Urban and Nicki Minaj added alongside returning judge Randy Jackson – it’s time to get to work!

The cast began shooting auditions in New York this past weekend, but sources are reporting that Carey and Minaj are already at each other’s throats. According to an insider, when Minaj was critiquing a contestant, Carey stepped in and interrupted the rapper a bunch of times. But instead of backing down, Minaj would talk louder and louder over Carey. Awwwkward. The insider bluntly adds, “These girls just don’t like each other.”

This will definitely make for some interesting TV… Will you tune into American Idol when it returns?
