TSC Episode 10: Good Girls Gone Bad….

January 6th, 2012

No, this isn’t a sleazy spring break video. It’s what happens to good girls when they’ve got an evil witch for a father. Cassie Blake is embracing her darkness. Or more importantly, the darkness is taking over Cassie. And there’s nothing anyone can do.

Unless you’re Diana’s grandmother. And let’s just say her methods are pretty damn deadly.

Click for the full recap below, and don’t miss an all-new episode of The Secret Circle next Friday @ 9PM ET on MuchMusic!

You’ve gotta hand it to Dawn Chamberlain. When there’s a problem in her life, she uses murder to make it go away. It worked with Nick and Henry, but fortunately Charles won’t let her kill his mother. Which sucks for Dawn because Grannie Kate Meade’s on to how evil she really is. And (thank God) she’s not buying Charles’s fake romance BS for a second.

She’s already put two and two together and figured out her son and Dawn had something to do with Henry’s death and Jane’s memory loss. But she never thought she’d find a child of Blackwell in her own home.

Diana brought Cassie over to meet her grandmother…but more probably to keep an eye on Cassie too. By the time Cassie was invited over, she’d already dreamed about murdering Jake, almost killed lover boy Adam when he was discovered researching Dark Magic, and revealed her family secret to the rest of the circle.

Now she’s under Diana’s watchful eye…and her grandmother’s murderous stare. Kate remembers Cassie’s father and knows the only way to stop Dark Magic…is to kill the witch. So it’s off to the woods they go, where Kate promises to “fix” Cassie.

And by “fix”, we mean use a spell to have Cassie buried alive. But what should have been an regular run-of-the-mill kill (boy, these adults are really good at using murder as a problem solver), Cassie uses her dark magic to literally burst through Kate’s spell and save herself.

Kate managed to get away with out any confrontation, but told her son she tried to kill Cassie. She leaves town to rally the elders to figure out what’s happening in Chance Harbour. Kate also told Charles to stay out of it, but you know that’s not going to happen. Not when Dawn is the cause of all the evilness happening in Chance Harbour and Charles is her lackey.

In the end, Cassie admits to Diana she’s glad she has the dark magic. If she didn’t, she’d be dead. But that’s not the worst part. Cassie enjoyed using the magic. Kate warned her that the darkness usually takes over in the end, and it looks like Cassie is halfway there.

On the other side of town, Faye is trying to be Cassie. Pissed Cassie has all this extra mojo, Faye decides to sniff out her own solo power. She finds a hunky hustler named Lee Lebeque who swindles her out of some money with fake promises of being a powerful witch.

And when poor, deceived Faye finds out she’s been played, she’s one pissed of witch. She trashes his place before sultry Lee steps out of the shadows and says he did that on purpose. He knows she’s a witch, and so are his grandparents. And, he adds, maybe they can help each other get what they each want. With what? We’ll have to find out next week…

And the episode ends with the biggest shocker of them all. Jake’s returned to Chance Harbour!
