WOW. A sexy (but bloody) bathtub scene, the worst vampire torture scene ever (and best acting from Caroline) and Damon strips twice. Tell me again why you’re not watching The Vampire Diaries?

SO MUCH happened this week and its setting the stage for a massive fight between the werewolves and the vampires, and Katherine and Klaus’ inevitable smack down.

So Damon’s the good guy now. Except all the goodness he brings doesn’t get him what he wants in the end. That’s because Elena is in love with Stefan.

So Damon’s the depressed guy now. He’s trying to say away from women since he killed one in a drunken, depressed state last week….except he needs to vent his “I’m-in-love-with-my-brother’s-woman” rage and attacks a TV reporter he invited in for a kinky bath scene.

So Damon’s the murderous guy now. And we’ve come full circle.

Poor Damon. Do you feel sorry for him for not getting the reward he desperately wants as a good guy, or hate him for all the murders he’s been committing lately?

Caroline has definitely showed us she can act. Her character is one of those characters you don’t think you’re going to like because she’s the spoiled, rich, popular girl at school. But look at her now. She was murdered, vamped, ditched by her mother, made her mother forget the truth, Stefan’s only friend that makes him smile, dating the poorest guy in town Matt, and she’s keeping everyone’s secrets while risking her own life to help Tyler deal with his wolf-ness.

Talk about layers. So naturally, she gets kidnapped and tortured for all her good deeds. And I’m not talking about being tied up. I mean vervain burning her face, being shot in the head with wooden bullets, being repeated shot and darted with wood and vervain over and over in different ways as she helplessly screams away. Now that’s torture.

Tell me you didn’t wish you could kill those werewolves yourself?

But it’s Stefan (they are soooooooooooo hooking up!!) and Damon to the rescue. And Stefan even goes out of his way to check up on her twice (TWICE! Now that’s love) and sends in her friends to keep her company for the night.

I’d only root for Damon and Elena if Stefan ends up with Caroline! What do you think?

The Salvatore brothers know that Tyler knows about what happened to Mason and what a werewolf bite can do to vampires. Damon says kills him, but Elena and Caroline both defend Tyler. Stefan goes over for a quick heart-to-heart…..and then gets Caroline kidnapped by Jules.

Jules has a crew of her own and the first werewolf/vampire fight begins. And its not just Damon that gets to throw down – we see Stefan get in a few sweet moves too! But it’s Elijah’s witch lackey Jonas who ends the fight. He tells Stefan it’s all part of Elijah’s promise to keep Elena and her friends safe. But Jules and Co. do walk away with one piece of information – the moonstone is kicking around Mystic Falls!

And then there’s Uncle Jon. It turns out Isobel is MIA because she’s working on a way to keep Klaus from coming to Mystic Falls (you know that plan’s going to fail, right?) so she sent Jon to protect her. But nobody trusts him. So he needs to start making things right. After dropping the bomb he’s Elena’s birth daddy to Jenna, he first gives Damon a way to kill the Originals (some ash and a dagger that were around before the spell was cast). He also gives Elena a bracelet that belonged to her mother, telling her even though they mean nothing to each other; they’re all the family they’ve got now.

But after all that, he’s still got his secrets as he pays Katherine a visit with the message he’s working on getting her out.

So why do they need Katherine free? Is it part of Isobel’s plan? Is Jon on the right side? What is Jules planning next?
