Twilight author to turn new book into film

Stephanie Meyer, author of the Twilight series, is turning another book into a film. Is anyone else shocked that she’s written a non-Twilight book? Who knew?!

The Host is an adult fiction novel about aliens who have taken over the minds of almost every member of humanity. Meyer would like the film to star Robert Redford and Ben Affleck, but the cast has yet to be confirmed. Summit Entertainment, the studio behind the Twilight films, will also be producing The Host, which is set to be released in 2011.

I really hope Summit Entertainment sends Meyer a nice gift basket every once and a while. That woman has made them some serious cash-olla!
