Twilight Line Up: Whoa.

Twilight mania is rivaling Jonas Brothers mania - there’s a line-up of people circling the entire block today! The last time we saw a crowd like this at Much HQ was for the JoBros Live@Much, only this mob is less pre-teen screamy and more teenage sophisticate. Well, I guess we’ll see for sure when Robert Pattinson shows his face on Saturday and all composure goes out the window! What am I here for again? Oh yeah. Pictures.

I GOT MY WRISTBAND….but its for the audience outside. There was no chance of getting inside passes and I got there at 2:00! Girls pushing, shoving, screaming and literally biting me to get ahead of everyone. Crowd control lasted for like an hour and a half before they got the line moving again. Did I think it was worth it? Probably not…since people will sleep over again Friday night, so what’s the point?

We got there at 8 am…waited ten hours and we were 20 ppl away from getting indoor wristbands ! how depressingg
but we still got outdoor ones ! and it was soo much fun, worth missing school for ! -
This event was terribly planned. I’m really disappointed in Much Music.
They should have cut the line HOURS earlier to let people in the line know that they didn’t have a chance of getting inside wristbands. Instead they let us stand there, some up to 10 hours, so we could get wristbands to stand OUTSIDE the day of.
Unbelievable.
There are so many better things I could have done with my time.
Get your act together next time, Much Music, and start treating your patrons with a little courtesy.

Along with Sarah, I am also extremely dissapointed in the way this day turned out. I, along with a group of about 10 girls lined up for eleven hours in the cold while being told by various MuchMusic workers that we would get in, no problem.
We were heavily dissapointed to see that we only recieved outdoor Twilight tickets.
Lets just hope Rob Pattinson can bear the cold.

What I don’t understand is that if they still had room ot fit more people inside, why didn’t they just do that instead of making us enter some contest again to win tickets? Freezing our butts wasnt enough that they had to save some wristbands for people to win them? All some sort of marketing plan to get us to sign up for much music accounts i guess.

I was there with my mom and my friend. Infront of us was another group of grade nines. Someone walked around and said we were DEFINETLY getting outdoor. And then when the line started moving they said there was a CHANCE we would get them. I almost cried to be honest. But we did end up getting the outdoor ones. Im curious as to how many people did get outdoors…

I want to know where to write a formal complaint, because the whole procedure was bull. I passed up time to work on a ten page essay to come stand in line, and all I got was a wristband that’s gonna make me stand outside in the winter weather for 8 MORE hours on Saturday? And I’m supposed to THANK Much Music? They just wasted 10 hours of my life that I’m not gonna get back. Thanks, Much Music.

i was gonna go, till i heard people slept over.
i did the whole line-up thing for the jobros and it was soo not worth it, stupid girls yelling and screaming and pushing and even the parents get crazy too. i’ll probably just drop by saturday and watch from the street or something.

my daughter and her friends were in line since 9:30 and did not get in until after 7.They had to miss school just for the wristbands thinking that because they are getting the wristbands they would have a guarantee to get in on saturday but nooo. When I saw the note that my daughter brought home, i was livid. “First come first serve”You expect the kids to be there again very early on saturday and the cast are not in until 5?what a joke. i am so disappointed with Much. Really..some gimmick you have here.

honestly the wristbands outside is pointless, they only gave it to us cuz they didn’t want us to feel bad..
I swear if people sleep there friday night that would be so stupid!

Yeah I got outside wristbands after waiting inline for 12 hours. 12 freaking long hours in the cold. Id do anything for Rob BUT did people who waited less than 4 hrs get the same wristbands? Im going to be so mad. How many outside wristbands did they give out?

You people are crazy. Just be glad that you got tickets period. When you come 10 hours BEFORE and wait in line AFTER you no that your probably only going to get outside bands, thats your own fault. Be gratiful you got anything at all, don’t complain about it. My sister and I were there at 8am saw that the line up was huge and decided we’d come the next day next time they come, and we made a day out of not waiting in line. Congrats to the people that got inside wristbands, and to the ones that got outside as well.

Yeah so I show up at 7 in the morning and I counted the line up in the morning and by the time I got in it I was around #203. The Sercurity was very lacking like what 10 tops to handle that whole croud wtf EVER, unprofessional and didn’t care that people were cutting in line that made me very angry especially because one some people got away with it they would leave to meet up with more people and come back with them in line we complain and that made no difference what so ever. There should have been a cut off point becuase I stand there all day and then everyone ends up getting the same outdoor wristbands thanks MUCH now i’m stuck wearing this damn wristband for 4 days before the event, wow! You guys need to get your priorties straight. Next time you need more railing to keep the lines controlled and DO NOT hire that security team again they sucked!! except for that scott guy at the very front he was the only understanding guy there… oh and did I mention that becuase you guys gave out sooo many wristbands now I gotta come super early again and it doesn’t even start till 5 thanks for notting Much, lets hope you never make mistakes again like this in the future.

I am extremely disappointed in Much Music. Like everyone else said it was very poorly organized and they should have known that alot more than 600 people would’ve showed up. All the hype about twilight has been insane! Much Music should of had this even at a much bigger venue they could’ve even sold tickets and made money off of it if they were smart about it. The entire block was packed with people hoping to get wristbands and most of them were disappointed, that’s hardly fair. There was even this girl there from Indiana she flew all the way to Canada to see the cast. Even though I didn’t go to the extreme she did, I took the train from Hamilton to Toronto with my younger sister with hopes of being able to see Robert Pattinson. When we got there it was already packed and we were only a few people away from getting wristbands but people kept coming and going infront of us with excuses like “my firned was saving a spot for me” that is so obsurd! they should’ve have waited like the rest of us but the got wristbands and we didn’t. Then they made us leave and told us to come back Saturday morning. What the hell are we going to come back for? To be dissappointed again, I don’t think so. We have been Twilight fans since Stephanie Meyer published the first book and we have been following the stories ever since. I bet half the people that got wristbands didn’t even know what Twilight was until they saw the trailers on TV. Much Music I hope next time you get organized and have the cast come to a much bigger venue so that all us Canadian fans could be there to show them how much we love twlight and Robert Pattinson of course.
Also The contest to win the wristbands is pointless the skill testing question has nothing to do with twilight! In my opinion they should’ve asked questions about twilight so they could give the wristbands to a true twilight fan not just someone who knows how to add and subtract.

I got there at 7 in the morning and was told all the wristbands were spoken for and I was told to go home. Now I find out they gave out wristbands to everyone. I know that some got outdoor ones but I would have lined up anyway concidering I was going to stand outside and now I obviously cant!!!!!! Very disappointed on muchs behalf. Very poorly run

Ok, I’m sorry but you guys are all morons. The website was VERY clear that they were giving out 200 wristbands for inside access. Nowhere did it say anything about giving out outdoor wristbands that day, they only did that cause they felt sorry for you losers who KNEW that the 200 bands were gone by 7am and decided to wait in line anyways. The first 200 people were given tickets so that people COULD NOT bud in line. They didn’t care about the other 800 people budding cause they were all getting the same wristband anyways. If you could read you would have known all this. I was 3rd in line and I waited since 5pm the day before, right behind Julia and Romy the first two girls and yeah it sucked and it was cold but we knew exactly what the website said and what we were in for. We even tried to tell people after 200 there was no point in waiting when people came up and talked to us. At one point the security guards were telling people to leave too and not waste their time but people kept lining up anyways. I even talked to like 5 girls that didn’t have photo ID on them, when the site specifically said you MUST have photo ID. You can’t complain and gripe at Much Music if you didn’t read the rules on their site. If you showed up and stood in line after the 200 people had their tickets then that’s your own stupidity. A little research into previous shows might have helped you realize what you were in for. All I did to prepare was look up the Jonas Brothers info and what happened there and knew it would be an overnighter. There were still girls coming at 4:30pm the day of for crying out loud, like come on, are serious? Then looking surprised that they were getting told to go home. The five of us at the front watched face after face be disappointed and yeah we felt bad for you but at the same time if you’d just did a little homework and read the site you could have gotten an inside wristband too. Up until 5am there were only about 60 people in line and it was at 200 around 7:30am. Sorry if I sound rude but all I see is griping at how Much Music handled this when it’s not their fault you can’t read.

Well I do agree that yes, they shouldn’t complain about getting outside tickets, you should’ve realized that when you went there and seen the size of the line up and the size of the building. But you really gotta think Muchmusic could’ve done a little better at preparing this. For one thing at least instead of just posting about only 200 tickets and what time and day they could’ve said all this too when they announced them coming here on TV. It would’ve helped alot of people like me for instance because I don’t have internet at home, only at school, but i do have TV which is where I heard abotu it. I didn’t go stand in line or anything just saying people shouldn’t complain to badly about it but still, much could’ve made it a little more clearer about these things it would save alot of people from disappointment.

Gah I was there! And I got inside wristbands! Waited out in the cold for about 11 hours- but it was definately worth it! Can’t wait to propse to Robert on Saturday

they actually didnt even give away 200 hundred tickets, it was like 180, i asked the ladyy and she was like things got messed up,

I honestly think people that were only off by like 30 minutes do have a right to complain. I was like 206. I was there for 12+ hours. If they did already give out the 200 they intended too, why didn’t a much official come out and say something. The only people that were sayign anything were the stupid security that didn’t no anything to begin with. I got an outside wristband, but why the hell did they give so many of those OUT? Why couldn’t they fit in 10 more people. They have the compacity. Radio stations were giving them away all day today as well. So they did have extras. All im asking someone should have said something legit.

From what Ive heard, even if you dont have outside wristbands, you might still get a chance to stand within the baracades outside. Im going still, Id rather go and not see them then not go and had a chance. Makes sense right?

I was outside much music at 5:15 AM! and i was exactly the 100th person in line. I agree with Tia, i remember seeing these girls in the front and thinking ok now that is dedication. You all knew 200 wrist bands were going to be given out so if you counted and saw 400 girls that is your own fault for waiting for nothing. I am so excited, but worried that much music is going to feel bad for all the girls waiting outside on saturday and i really hope they dont let the girls with outside wristbands in because thats not fair at all. All you girls with inside wristbands what time are you going down? I hear its not first come first serve but who knows?

OMG I AGREE! IM SO PISSED AT MUCHMuSIC. okay first of all i got here at 1:00 pm on tuesday because I had no freaking idea some people would pull an all nighter! But honestly Muchmusic couldhave done better! The freaking secrutiy guards ALL SAID DIFFERENT THINGS! we asked like 4 times, and we would get different answers.
Also why the hell did they make me wait 6 hours in the freezng cold and are making us come at 8-10 AM tomorow? THE SHOW STARTS AT 6PM!

yeah i think the planning for it was kinda stupid..and i dont know why they changed it around because before that it was you had to call in and answer questions on thursday at 5pm to get a chance to get the wristbands.. and then at the last minute i found out that you had to go directly to much on tuesday.. which was bullshit cuz i had planned around thursday already and i had a chem exam on wednesday morning. and its hard cuz i really live in hamilton but i go to school in waterloo. i was seriously considering going anyways and studying in line.. but considering julia and romy (my friends) waited since 3 pm the day before i figured the chances of me arriving there on time to recieve the first 200 tickets was very slim.so i didnt get a chance to go. i was just wondering if you can still show up without a wristband to watch the show from outside? even though theres hundreds of girls with outdoor wristbands.and i watched some video with these girls who have been waiting there since 3 am this morning for tomorrows show who only have outdoor wristbands:S
