Usher channels Michael Jackson in his video for Scream

Usher channels the King of Pop in more ways that one for Scream, the second video off his new album, Climax. Wearing an all white suit and spending the first half of the video dancing alone, Usher evokes a Billy Jean-feel with his choreography. Later using signature Michael moves, Usher rocks a military jacket that is reminiscent of Jackson’s look in the nineties.

In the video, which also shares a song title with Jackson, Usher uses imagery from his role in the off-Broadway show Fuerza Bruta, including scenes of a scantily glad woman floating in water above the singer. Usher’s role in the play, which incorporates a 360-degree stage, was as The Running Man for two performances this past April.
