Usher opens up to Oprah about his custody battle and infidelity

Usher’s personal life has always been publicized in the media, from his two-year marriage to now-ex-wife Tameka Foster to the three-year custody battle over their two sons that followed the divorce. But the singer finally opens up for the first time ever to Oprah in an interview where he addresses it all.

In the interview, he describes his custody battle as “nasty and there is no winner in any fight.” Oprah goes on to ask Usher if he had indeed been unfaithful to his wife – claims that Foster had revealed in the midst of their court battles – to which he responded that he had “lost” himself towards the end of their marriage.

“I just wanted out,” he told Oprah. “No. I was faithful at heart, but not faithful all the way. Even having a conversation with another woman, period, about matters of your relationship or emotions is, in my opinion, not being faithful.”
