Indie rockers Vampire Weekend took the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart this past week with the debut of their sophomore disc, Contra.
The band beat out songstress Ke$ha and reigning chart champ Susan Boyle for the top spot, selling 124,000 copies in its first week.
Vampire Weekend will be on tour this spring in support of Contra, kicking off in Edmonton and Calgary on March 14th & 15th. They will also be stopping in Toronto for a show on March 30th.
