VFest ‘07 - Bjork: A Golden Fairy

The Icelandic Princess has landed on Toronto Island. Are you ready? I sure hope so.
Right now, Bjork the golden pixie, is closing the night with a powerful set that will blow you away. The legendary songstress kicked off the night with Innocence. I swear there was a moment of pure awe when she stepped out onto the stage in a gold/silver ruffled dress. We are in the presence of a legend. Now, that may sound completely ridiculous but if you think about Bjork’s body of work and the influence she has had on music over the past decade, you’d have no choice but to agree.
So during Hunter (I think) Bjork surprised the audience with long web-like silly string that stretched out from her hands and into the audience. With her neon clad backup musicians and performers behind her and her hands stretched out, she truly looked like a golden Goddess. It looked absolutely stunning.
And her voice… She evokes so much passion and power into her songs that it puts you into a dream-like trance. In a way, her whole stage setup for this show is like one wild dream - a dream that thousands of others get to experience.

LAST NIGHT’S SHOW WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHE WAS DEFINITELY THE HIGHLIGHT. KICK ASS SET. SHE KNOWS HOW TO STAGE A LIVE SHOW.
