Enter Shikari jumpin’ around @ VFest ‘07 - Click to rate this photo

Sooo…

You wouldn’t know it, but today’s Enter Shikari set nearly didn’t happen. A medium-sized throng of rabid fans (ie my crew - yo!) had gathered close to the stage moments before showtime when drummer Rob (who we ALL have a crush on) came up to me to tell me the show wasn’t going to happen because they were missing an adapter for their keyboard. I almost burst into tears! There was a mad last minute scramble and a minute later, an announcement from frontman Rou: “The show WILL go on! But we haven’t had time to test out the final setup so we may be rubbish.” They were anything but! It was a ROWDY five song BLAST of good tunes. For the finale, OK, Time For Plan B, Kate and I hopped the barricade with our VIP wristbands and started a mini-dance party mere feet away from the stage, much to the delight of the band! Don’t cry if you weren’t here, because we love the band SO much we recorded their entire set, and parts of it will be up on MuchAXS very, very soon, so you can see exactly what was saw!!

PS: I was just in the lounge area and spotted a SUPER cute italian greyhound prancing around on its own. I reached down to play with it, and Carlos D. of Interpol appeared from nowhere to tell me that it was his dog, and his name is Gaius. Sooo cute!!
